The First Five Days

Ok, here we go.

Here are the first five postcards, from the first 5 days of ‘365 Days: A Year in Postcards’. This project is about process, and in it I will be making one postcard every day for one year – this year.

From this point on I will post the week’s worth of cards (and pictures) every Monday. So come back often and share this journey with me…it is sure to evolve and grow in so many ways.

I am starting it off with a YEAR LONG PROJECT entitled 365 Days: A Year in Postcards. Every day, for the entire year, I will make (and share with you) a postcard. This is a really big commitment, to both myself, my art practice, and my pals . I am looking forward to the challenge, and the evolution, as the year progresses.

Second on the list is, of course, VALENTINE’S DAY, which I have been lovingly working away on. I have new ideas for both participation and distribution, and I am excited to spread as much love around as we can!

BUT FIRST…I will be unplugging for the first four days of the new year!! I am going to go away, to a place beside the water, where I have friends waiting for me. I will not be bringing my computer. I will not be checking my phone. I WILL be making my first four postcards there, and getting ready for the year ahead.

So, COME BACK TO ME that first full week of January, and I will have pictures to share, love to give, and a whole MAILBOX FULL of connection and heart!!

ALL THE BEST to you, my pals, in the year ahead… May we know true connection, and the courage it takes to pick up the pen.

31 Days of Gratitude (2014)

Every day for one month, the month of October, I made and handed out a ‘thank you’ card to someone in my community/circle. This is the second year for this project – 31 Days of Gratitude – and this year proved to be just as fruitful an experience as the first time around.

Some days were easier than others in getting this card made and handed out. Some days I knew exactly who I wanted to give it to. This project was a commitment, and it shaped my days.
